Setting the tone for a Blue Monday (20th Jan) single release!
After an eventful year, London-based Brazilian bass and drums duo Yur Mum kick off 2025 with ‘Guilt’, the latest single from their 2024 album ‘Duality‘. This track stands out on its own, with a different sound from their previous releases. It has a darker tone, which makes it the perfect soundtrack for this forthcoming Blue Monday.
‘Guilt‘ features the pair’s signature fuzzed-out bass riffs and heavy yet groovy drumming. For the first time, drummer Fabio Couto shares lead vocal duties, while bassist Anelise Kunz additionally includes a haunting piano line which further enhances the track’s atmosphere. Kunz also deploys her unique vocal range, delivering a more melodic performance on the second half of the song.
