The Duel are set for a busy 2024, commencing with a new single and video, 'Rule The World'
South London’s electropunk duo The Duel have a lot planned for this year! A partnership which started when singer-songwriter Tara Rez met Andy Thierum over 20 years ago, Tara continues to take their music forward (with Ruts DC‘s Segs Jennings collaborating on new track ‘Rule The World‘), after Andy’s health sadly deteriorated due to MS. Now joined by Paul Laventhol (ex King Kurt) on guitar for live shows, The Duel have more gigs lined up for 2024, after a successful run of dates last year.
‘Rule The World‘ is a catchy, anthemic song which challenges the suffering in the world, questioning how it could be if tables were turned and we were in charge, would we pass a law against pain? Proving that it’s certainly possible to make an amazing music video on a shoestring budget, The Duel’s latest single is brilliantly illustrated within the backdrop of an animatronics workshop – check it out:
