Ther's a great programme of events at this cool spot - go check 'em out!
Join The Punk Rock Museum on January 25, 2025, when they welcome the opening of the exhibit Saint Vitus Bar: The First Ten Years: Photos from Brooklyn’s Most Beloved Institution by Nathaniel Shannon. Opening night features an Artist Discussion with Walter Schreifels (Quicksand, Youth of Today, Gorilla Biscuits) and photographer Nathaniel Shannon, moderated by Dan Ozzi (author of SELL OUT). Starting at 5pm, don’t be late, as these legends have plenty of tea to spill!

“Saint Vitus was, without question, New York’s most important music institution of the last decade. It deserves the highest caliber of documentation, and that’s what Nathaniel Shannon delivered with this book. I owe so much of my life and my career to Vitus, and I am reminded of that every time I turn the page.” – Dan Ozzi.
An exclusive limited edition of the ‘Saint Vitus Bar: The First Ten Years‘ book will be available for purchase in the Museum Shop at the event. A massive 344-page deep dive, containing collaged archive, interviews, stories, photographs, posters, essays and tons of never before seen documents exploring the first decade of Saint Vitus Bar’s history. Contributors include Descendents, Against Me!, Anthrax, The Dillinger Escape Plan, The Armed, Chuck Klosterman, and many more!
Walter Schreifels will also be a Tour Guide at The Punk Rock Museum on January 25th and 26th. Tickets HERE
February 15th will see the Chris Estrada and Friends Comedy Show hit the Museum! Chris Estrada is an actor, comedian, and writer from South Central and Inglewood, known for his sharp wit and unique perspective shaped by his upbringing. He stars in and co-created the hit Hulu comedy series This Fool and was named one of LA’s comedians to watch by Time Out LA in 2018. His short film, 5th of July, was an official selection at the New York Latino Film Festival and the LA Independent Filmmakers Showcase Film Festival.

Chris will be joined by; Shapel Lacey, a Los Angeles-based comedian from Mesa, Arizona, whose unique voice blends his punk rock roots, competitive cheerleading background, and personal experiences, including being adopted by a Caucasian family at 15. After discovering stand-up through a dare while cheerleading at the University of Louisville, he left college to pursue comedy full-time, eventually performing alongside Bill Burr, Hannibal Buress, and Brendan Schaub. In 2019, Shapel was named a “New Face” at the prestigious Just For Laughs Comedy Festival and now headlines clubs nationwide.
Plus Joel Jimenez, a comedian who was born and raised in Los Angeles. His stand up is inspired by his experiences growing up and by his daily life in the city. From growing up with a mechanic father to experimenting with questionable substances and innovative ways of self love, Joel is able to express himself with a wit and cleverness that is engaging, to say the least. He can be seen performing most often at the World famous Comedy Store.

Usually found jumping around down the front at gigs, I also relish taking photos and videos, singing, speaking with fellow music fans, and asking musicians the questions nobody else does. Writing about my favourite bands and connecting with people who love music too keeps me more-or-less sane! I’ve worked for over 25 years at a video production company, mainly filming live music events, therefore I have an additional backstage perspective on the scene.
