Many top punk bands feature on this excellent release!
The creator of Punk Rock Creatives Podcast – Marie Repulsive – teamed up with Dammit Records to release a punk compilation album made up of tracks from 15 bands, plus 1 punk poem, with the proceeds going to Protected Paws Animal Rescue charity.
Marie and Dammit Records hosted a fantastic listening party for the album on the 26th January 2026 via Bandcamp, which obviously I tuned in for! The album was released on the 1st of February 2026, both physically and digitally. I have my own CD copy which I had pre-ordered.
This compilation album has a great mix of different punk bands, some very well-known to me and some I had never heard of or listened to before. It was an absolute treat! So different yet so well put together.
The album starts with a poem by Cherry B of duo Cherry & Peesh called ‘(A Poem) For The Animals’. She speaks about veganism and how people can be very judgemental about vegans. It’s not a phase; they’re doing it for the animals. I personally don’t have a problem with vegans myself – I absolutely love animals, but I still eat meat, I have my reasons. I absolutely do respect why many people are vegetarian or vegan though.
Then we have the first band – Ambition Demolition – with their song ‘Slave To The Phone’. They sing the lyrics “Get off your fucking phone”, which a lot of people need to hear in my opinion, including myself of course, I’m guilty of being on my phone way too much sometimes!
Next, we have 4-piece punks from Norfolk, UK, Amongst Strangers with their song ‘This World’. The song is about how the world is falling apart and we need to stop the cycles of destruction.
Bullitz 23 are a ‘77 style melodic punk rock band. Their song ‘Still Not Dead’ is featured on this album. The vocals are very rough but in a good way of course! I can tell they are inspired by the 70s style of punk.
Dead Hombres are a female-fronted trashy gothabilly rock’n’roll band. Their song ‘Hearts in Flames’ starts with the bass and drums, with the guitar then sliding in nicely creating that melodic, gothic style of rock.
Drivelheads are another female-fronted band with their song ‘Proxytocin’ featured on this compilation. They are melodic, has a catchy beat, and singing the lyrics, “Serotonin flowing through my brain, Turns my yeses into no’s”, and “People tell me life is like a beach.”
Family Of Strangers are no strangers to me. Not only have I seen this band live multiple times, but I have also reviewed one of their gigs. Their song ‘Catch or Release’ is the shortest song on this compilation and it’s so catchy and fun!
Gypsy Pistoleros are a glam punk, goth, rock’n’roll band. Their track ‘Close As You’ll Ever Be’ sounds very rock’n’roll, and easy to have a little boogie to.
Hagar The Womb are a female-fuelled punk band. Their track ‘Visible Women’ is very catchy, has plenty of cool basslines, and is easy to sing along to. The lyrics “Have to try harder, to get anywhere” ring true unfortunately.
LoGoz has Peesh (also of duo Cherry & Peesh) on vocals and guitar in this band. They are described as “schizofrantic punk rock melodica”, which I think fits perfectly. Their song ‘Suburban Times’ is packed with hard-hitting guitar riffs and drumbeats. It’s another earworm! Very melodic with some headbanging moments.
Marie is a former singer for Lost Cherrees. She wrote the lyrics for ‘Rape Equals Murder (Acton Demo Session)’ and provides some of the vocals on this track too. The lyrics “It could happen to me” and “It can happen to you” ring so true. It can happen to anyone, so be safe and look out for each other!
Rabies Babies are a DIY punk band. Their track ‘I Fought The Floor And The Floor Won’ starts off slow and catchy, becoming heavier and faster towards the end.
Rage DC are very well-known to the punk scene, and I have seen them countless times! Their track ‘We Are The Underdogs’ is a great fit for this album, with the lyrics “It’s a song of hope, a song of freedom, a song to fight for the underdogs of the world.” It’s a song about being unappreciated yet never stopping or giving up. This track is also from their upcoming brand-new album, which will be reviewed by me very soon! It’s a slightly different mix from the one on their album yet is also still a little teaser.
Rubella Ballet’s track ‘We Don’t Eat The Dead’ is so hard-hitting and fast. It has an important message about animal rights and protecting animals, which I obviously agree with! We are all against animal cruelty for sure.
Slalom D’s track ‘Cats & Dogs’ begins in a totally mesmerising way, and then the guitar riffs come in to bring it to life!
And lastly to end this album is The Puncturists with their song ‘55’ from their latest album which I reviewed last year. What a perfect song to end on!
Overall, this is an absolutely awesome album. A great mixture of bands, a unique poem, and so many incredible messages. It’s quite unique and is for such an impressive charity too. Buy your copy now!
