Street punk band introduce themselves with a debut album filled with bangers!
Brighton-based punk band Not The Face! formed back in 2019, releasing their self-titled EP in 2020, and have now released their 12 track debut album ‘How Vulgar’ which dropped on 14th February 2026.
The band describe themselves as noisy, melodic UK street punk with a hint of upbeat ska and unapologetically belting vocals, and I agree with that! I have seen them live twice so far and really am looking forward to the next time I see them play, which will be in April!
Meet Not The Face!:
Cat Goodman – Lead vocals
Jonny Brewer – Guitar and backing vocals
Weeze Cooper – Bass and backing vocals
Wozza Warren – Drums
On to the review I go.. Fuck me what an incredible album! Some of these tracks I’ve heard the band play live, and they’re great, but hearing them recorded was an absolute treat! There are upbeat ska moments which make you want to skank and dance along to for sure, and of course there are some absolute bangers! Cat has a deep, melodic belter of a voice. Jonny’s guitar riffs are powerful and epic. Weeze’s basslines are sharp and punchy. And Wozza’s drumming is extremely loud, fast, and impressive as fuck! Both the backing vocals and lead vocals are shouty and melodic at the same time, and their voices suit each other so well.
‘Let ‘Em Die’ is definitely one of my favourite tracks on the album. I love the lyrics so much; “Let ‘em die” and “Go to hell”. I had this song on repeat and sang along, of course! The whole album is sick as fuck, and I highly recommend checking it out if you haven’t already. Go skank and dance ‘til your hearts give out!

Live review: Like morning coffee and weekly pizza: Los Fastidios never get boring!
Italian ska-punk veterans Los Fastidios return to Kulturrampe, Krefeld for another sold-out night packed with unity, passion – and absolute chaos from start to finish.
I’ve been going to gigs since I was 18 years old, and have loved them ever since. They are my second home. I enjoy discovering new bands, meeting punks of different ages, and learning more about the scene. I sing, play guitar, and learning the drums. Punk for life!
