Gritty powerhouse band unveils a raw and reflective punk rock scrapbook
Long Island, USA’s gritty skate punk rock band Half Dizzy released their long-awaited full-length album ‘Yard Sale’ on 12th December 2025, via Punkerton Records, following on from 2022’s ‘Courtesy Flush‘. It was produced and recorded by Pete Steinkopf of The Bouncing Souls at his Little Eden studio. The LP consists of 14 emotionally charged tracks where the band explores what it means to be left behind, forced to grow up fast, and figure things out with no roadmap.

Some of these songs were written years ago, some of them weren’t even finished when we stepped into the studio, but we had one goal and that was to write the best, most punk as fuck album we possibly could. Now on to the review! This was my first time listening to Half Dizzy and I have to say, I’m not disappointed! Raw and authentic, containing so much honesty, and I personally find their lyrics very relatable. Both ‘All Or None’ and ‘Darkest Days’ (released October 17th 2025) echo the pain of isolation and the strength it takes to keep moving, which demonstrates some difficult moments of mental health.
‘Fade Away’ and ‘Easton’ celebrate joy and the bonds we have which neither time nor distance can erase from us. It is an album that truly needs to be heard by everyone! Epic riffs, honest lyrics, and so much passion and emotion goes into every second of this album which is noticeable immediately.
‘Yard Sale‘ has personally helped me understand some things better and has made me feel relieved in a way too! It’s gritty, to the point, and mixes skate punk with some heavier moments throughout.
