Successful single launch gig in a unique setting!
Lo-fi punk/grunge band Liliths Army released their single ‘Cursed’ on 24th October 2025 and celebrated with a single launch gig on 25th October 2025. The gig was held at the Audio Works rehearsal studio in Northampton, UK. It was very different and unique having a gig at a rehearsal studio, but it was so much fun! The owner and staff were all friendly and I was shown around the place. The gig itself was performed upstairs with a decent amount of space for the band and audience.
Liliths Army played two sets, which included songs from their album ‘Doll’ and of course, their latest single ‘Cursed’. They invited a support act to perform at the gig, and they also treated us all to a preview of the music video for ‘Cursed’, which I have already had the pleasure of watching before.
To start off this single launch gig we had support act Katie Paton. She is a solo artist who also sings vocals for the band In Atoms. Her music isn’t usually my sort of thing personally, but I actually really enjoyed her performance. Acoustic, raw, and soulful. Her voice is gentle, soft, harmonic, and beautiful. I found her quite mesmerising, and calming at times.
Next, we had Liliths Army’s first set. The initial two songs ‘Helpless’ and ‘Breathe’ saw Helen Turton join them on the cello, and vocalist Sylvie Studente on the keyboard. Both sounded so beautiful together with the bass and drums complimenting these slow songs perfectly. After that, Sylvie returned to the guitar, and the band played more songs from their album ‘Doll’. Lots of passion, emotion, and heaviness, entertaining, powerful, and loud. The last song they performed was ‘Indecision’, from their ‘Drain Me’ album released back in 2008 – it has an absolutely insane drum solo! I couldn’t take my eyes off Sam Sherwood – I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again; he is a beast on the drums!
After their first set, we had a little break before the band treated us to a preview of their new music video for the single. The music video is out on 31st October 2025 (Halloween) at 10am! I won’t spoil anything, but what I will say about the video is that it’s very fitting for the single, quite haunting, and well produced. And sick as fuck, which were my words to everyone at the gig!
Lastly, we had Liliths Army’s second set. More heaviness, fast drums, epic bass and guitar riffs, and relatable songs. Bassist Tommy Mayo came into the crowd a few times and got everyone headbanging and dancing. The band’s last song was none other than their single ‘Cursed’ which was the best song to end the show on.
This whole gig was a lot of fun. Lots of singing along, dancing, headbanging, and laughter! Go check out Liliths Army’s latest single and definitely go see them live!

I’ve been going to gigs since I was 18 years old, and have loved them ever since. They are my second home. I enjoy discovering new bands, meeting punks of different ages, and learning more about the scene. I sing, play guitar, and learning the drums. Punk for life!
