Another successful gig in a popular Brighton venue!
What a brilliant Saturday night that was! Mannie Zerafa sure knows how to put on a fun punk gig! He organises so many of these Shake Some Acton gigs, and each one gets better and better! Thanks Mannie, you legend!
Starting off this amazing gig were Red Anger; as you can see from the photo, band frontman Jamie Red always makes his way into the crowd and shows us how much energy he has while performing with lots of dancing around. He interacts with the crowd after every song, has a laugh with everyone, and loves taking the piss! He’s entertaining, hilarious, and overall a fun guy to watch! The whole band played together in harmony, never missing a note, and they have epic basslines, awesome guitars, and loud drums!
Next we had Rage DC, with new drummer Joe Smith. As usual, the band were loud, synchronised, and entertaining, playing some new songs from their upcoming album. The crowd loved them, singing and dancing along to some old but popular songs. This band always know how to make a noise and get the crowd excited, which resulted in a couple of small mosh pits!
Now, the next band are quite new to the scene. Hukies are from Austria, and were playing in the UK for the first time! This gig was their fourth one, and what a brilliant one it was! They’re also another entertaining band to watch, swapping instruments and vocals for different songs to keep it interesting, and overall they are loud and fun! They have lots of energy, get the crowd headbanging along, and are insanely heavy in parts!
Last up we had glam punk band Continental Lovers, who were dressed absolutely strikingly! Their songs are catchy and infectious, and are very danceable! The drummer headbangs a lot while playing, the bassist briefly came into the audience for the last song, and we had the pleasure of being the second audience to hear a new song! Another great and entertaining band to watch for sure!
Overall this whole gig was loud, fun, and put everyone in the best mood! So much singing, dancing, and entertainment! Thank you again to Mannie for putting on this amazing gig and we all look forward to seeing what bands the next one will bring!
