Everyone certainly is a winner when reading this book!
Ever wonder how London became one of the most popular punk bands in history? Well then, this book is for you! Inside, you’ll find all of the information you want and need, plus much more!
John Van Der Kiste writes about how the band first got together, how they became the support band for The Stranglers’ tour in 1977, the albums and EPs they’ve released, the gig dates they’ve played, why they split up and reformed later on with new members, other bands they’ve been in, and all the interesting and shocking stories quoted directly from the band members themselves. The book even includes the lyrics from songs on their albums, including ‘Animal Games’ and ‘Reboot’.

As well as all the interesting stories to read, there are plenty of different photos within the book, which include the venues they’ve played, news and magazine articles, gig posters, live performances, and so much more. These illustrate the stories in the book, helping to create a clear picture of the time.
The book was named after their debut single ‘Everyone’s A Winner’, and this is a very fitting title.
It’s a book I don’t want to spoil with too much detail, as there are a lot of secrets to be revealed. It’s definitely one you should read for yourself – you may find some things out that you didn’t know, as I did!
It’s an interesting, exciting, shocking, and overall fun book to read. I’m sure you will all agree – so go ahead and treat yourself to a copy.
