From the ashes of underground punk outfits Ex-Cathedra/Suicide bid, '77 style melodic Punk tunes with rasping Scottish vocals.
Burn baby burn! Singer/songwriter Andi Chalmers returns with new band Bullitz 23, and their debut EP ‘Burn’.
Exploding onto the scene last year, on the 5th November (No coincidence it being Bonfire night here in the UK) with their limited edition debut Green 7” vinyl single ‘Ballad of Jim Bones‘ which was hailed as “Single of the Week” by Louder than War, featured in Vive le Rock magazine and played on Punk Rock radio stations worldwide, Bullitz 23 have made their mark upon the punk world.
Think Stiff Little Fingers, Skids, and Cock Sparrer
Second track ‘Karma‘ starts off with a Latin vibe, before bouncing into melodic skate-punk territory. A song about bullying police, the lines “Just coz you are the law, doesn’t mean you’re above us all” will strike a chord with many who’ve been on the receiving end of unfair treatment from ‘the boys in blue’.
Punktuation Magazine is proud to bring you the video premiere of ‘Still Not Dead‘, an ode to all the punks who are still going out in their colourful outfits and living life the punk way. “Be who you are – shine out bright, You know deep down what is right”. It’s a classic punk banger and will definitely get the mosh pit going when it’s played live!
Bullitz 23 are: Andy Cameron – Vox & Guitar, Gianluca Santoro (KBN) – Guitar & Vox, Testadibasso – Bass and Nico Lippolis – Drums.
They are no strangers to the Punk rock circuit with past support slots including Stiff Little Fingers, NOFX, RANCID, Prince Buster, The Selecter, Jerry Dammers DJ, Sham 69, UK Subs, Bad Religion and Subhumans.
‘Burn’ will bring fire to your heart and rebellion to your soul, dance your Docs off to Bullitz 23!
Out NOW on Tartan Rex records, the ‘Burn‘ EP tracks are:
1. BURN
2. KARMA
3. STILL NOT DEAD
The CD version also comes with a bonus track, a demo version of ‘Burn’, which features
punk-metal guitarist Gizz Butt of English Dogs and The Prodigy fame. Get your copy HERE

Usually found jumping around down the front at gigs, I also relish taking photos and videos, singing, speaking with fellow music fans, and asking musicians the questions nobody else does. Writing about my favourite bands and connecting with people who love music too keeps me more-or-less sane! I’ve worked for over 25 years at a video production company, mainly filming live music events, therefore I have an additional backstage perspective on the scene.
