New release from Brighton Brat-Metallers Eville - now a hard rocking quartet!
Following the success of their previous singles with significant airplay on BBC Radio 1 and Radio X and in particular from Alyx Holcombe, Eville’s latest and most impressive work yet, ‘Monster‘ is an off the hook Nu-metal banger with electronic Drum ‘n’ Bass elements and a huge Pop chorus. It’s the kind of song you play on a late night drive with all your mates screaming out the lyrics.
It’s an empowering anthem to mosh out to in the pit and is a firm fan favourite at their gigs. It will be unleashed upon their 35k followers across all socials and radio stations on the 15th of March.
Eva Sheldrake on vocals and guitar, Milo Hemsley on drums and Billy Finneran on bass have now been joined by Riley Sweeny on guitar – he’s played one show with them and went down a storm!
Eva says; “We are building on the success of our singles by keeping up the standard our fans expect. ‘Leech‘ and ‘Messy‘ have done us proud, but we are ready to move up a level with ‘Monster‘, I wanted to write a feral tune that would be perfect to open up mosh pits. Yet again, our producer Jamie Sellers has kept true to the spirit of our songwriting while building a massive racket that builds on our Brat Metal world. He just gets us and is a true partner in what we are trying to do.”
Their third single, ‘Leech‘, lifted the band to a whole new level, with invitations to play at The Scala’s legendary FACE DOWN night and extensive airplay from Radio 365, and The Modern Rock Show on RadioReverb and countless stations around the world from France to LA and even getting as far as Australia!
When Eville aren’t picking up critical acclaim, selling out headline shows and playing with the likes of Wargasm, Delilah Bon, Knife Bride and Glitchers, they’re turning the new generation of music fans onto the 90s nu-metal scene, which is returning with a vengeance with Eville standing at the vanguard!
If you’d like to catch Eville live, the band are playing headlining shows in London at The legendary Hope and Anchor in Islington and Brighton’s Green Door Store on the 15th and 16th of March, to celebrate their new release. They then go on a short UK tour with Scottish Gabba Punks before returning to support Static Lives in Brighton in May.
