'Move On' Blowfuse's new single paves the way for upcoming album, 'The 4th Wall'
Drawing inspiration from the punk rock scenes of the ’80s and ’90s, as well as the skateboarding culture, Barcelona’s Blowfuse has developed a distinctive style. Their music blends the raw intensity of hardcore punk with catchy ’90s punk rock melodies, powerful classic rock riffs, and lyrics that are both acidic and incisive.
Their latest single, ‘Move On’, is an exciting glimpse into their forthcoming fourth studio album, ‘The 4th Wall,’ due for release on March 1, 2024.
Lead vocalist Oscar Puig describes the track as a rallying cry for change and evolution. He asserts that the song’s central message is about the urgency of liberating oneself from the past to pave a fresh path forward.
Puig emphasises that wallowing in self-pity and complaints only amplifies frustration. Acceptance of reality and personal accountability, he argues, are key to charting a new course.
As one of Spain’s most recognised and active punk rock bands, Blowfuse has made a significant impact on the music scene since its inception around 2008 in Barcelona. Initially known as Godfarts, the band gained popularity and released their debut album, ‘Messed Up Minds,’ in 2010. In 2013, they adopted the name Blowfuse and released ‘Into the Spiral,’ an album recorded, produced, and mixed by the acclaimed Darian Rundall, noted for his work with bands such as Pennywise, TSOL, Suicidal Tendencies, and U.S. Bombs.
The band has a rich touring history, sharing stages with renowned groups like Pennywise and 7 Seconds, and performing extensively across Europe. Blowfuse has also collaborated with bands like Adolescents, Face to Face, Authority Zero, A Wilhelm Scream, Youth Brigade, The Casualties, The Unseen, and many more. In 2013, they even graced the main stage at the prestigious Resurrection Fest, alongside Bad Religion, Millencolin, and Biohazard.
Being as young as they are, living one of their best moments, working on new projects, touring, filming their peculiar videos… And of course, totally committed to what they loved, and still love, music.
‘Move On’ is currently available across several platforms, including SBÄM, HFMN Crew, Epidemic Records, and Infected Records.
