The skatepunk/metal-infused band drops first new material with new lineup.
Dutch punk rockers Drunktank are back with a vengeance, and their fiery new single “Kindle The Flame!” is set to ignite the charts. With a revamped lineup featuring new members Sarah, Jasper, and Jouke, Drunktank is ready to unleash their signature blend of fast, melodic, sing-along skatepunk infused with riffs and guitar harmonics reminiscent of 80’s metal. This latest release marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the band, showcasing their evolution and growth while staying true to their punk roots.
Drunktank’s music is a sonic explosion that captures the spirit of 90’s skatepunk, drawing influences from band’s signed to legendary labels like Epitaph, Fat Wreck Chords, and Burning Heart. Their high-energy performances and catchy hooks are complemented by intricate guitar work, combining the best elements of punk and metal.
Having made waves in the Netherland’s punk rock community, Drunktank has a solid discography under their belts. They have released four EPs and two full-length albums, including the critically acclaimed ‘The Infamous Four’ in 2010 and ‘Return of The Infamous Four’ in 2019. The latter album, praised for its infectious melodies and anthemic choruses, has been reissued on vinyl in anticipation of their upcoming Canadian tour.
Drunktank recently joined forces with Montreal-based independent label Thousand Islands Records, further solidifying their presence in the international punk rock scene.
Drunktank’s upcoming tour of Eastern Canada promises to be an exhilarating experience for both long-time fans and newcomers alike. The band will be hitting the stage at prestigious festivals such as Envol et Macadam, Music 4 Cancer, Le Déluge, and more, solidifying their reputation as a must-see live act.
