The Queer punk collective drop their new single taken from their highly anticipated sophomore record 'Doom Loop'.
Dream Nails’ latest offering, ‘Doom Loop’ is an introspective and vibrant masterpiece – produced by the infamous Ross Orton, who has worked with the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Amyl and The Sniffers, and The Fall–reflects a passionate fight for empathy in a divided world.
‘Doom Loop’ is an album that courageously delves into the repeated cycles that shape our existence: from relentless acts of social injustice; the pervasive influence of patriarchal systems that offer nothing but oppression, and the violent death grips of outdated constructs.
This latest offering is a celebration of vulnerability, unity and trans freedom that’s accompanied by a perfectly infectious and hooky soundtrack. Speaking on their latest punk anthem, frontman Ishmael Kirby comments:
“This song began as a catchy hook, a trans daydream about the power I could hold as a boy embracing femininity,”declares Ishmael. “Our guitarist Anya had to really coax the idea out of me, because I was fearful it wouldn’t make sense. I wanted to protect this precious truth I knew about myself but hadn’t vocalised.”
“Femme Boi defies society’s expectations of a feminine trans-boy. We invite you to find joy and connection in the track, regardless of where you stand on the gender spectrum. Let’s celebrate these opposing feelings!”
‘Doom Loop’ set for release October 13th, 2023, via Marshall Records. PRE-ORDER HERE
