Sheffield’s Black Spiders are heading out on the road in September to tour their new album ‘Can’t Die, Won’t Die‘, released on Spinefarm on 12th May, the band’s first campaign with the label. Lead single and video ‘Hot Wheels’ is out now and sees the band – led into action by frontman, Pete Spiby – in a variety of scenarios and settings, at one point surviving a close encounter with a rampant shark! Think classic Hollywood road trip – in a small jeep – with guitars!
Expect plenty of guitar driven hot rock on‘Can’t Die, Won’t Die’ – 42 minutes of back-street trouble, produced by regular studio compadre, Matt Elliss. Its 12 new tracks including ‘Destroyer’ and ‘It Is What It Is’, all measured pace and power, and ‘Driving My Rooster’, a race towards the cliff edge – are sure to add more burnt tread to their tyres.
A special launch evening is planned at Sheffield’s Network 2 on Friday 19th May 2023:

With their rousing rock ‘n’ roll slogan “EAT THUNDER, SHIT LIGHTNING!” and audience holler of “FUCK YOU BLACK SPIDERS!” you can expect a dynamite evening out when you catch a show – more details below!

Equals What?, London Deptford Endeavour, 22nd August 2025
Headliners Equals What? are – to their eternal credit – an inclusive and gloriously riotous band. Inclusive, in the sense that their vocalist isn’t shy
Usually found jumping around down the front at gigs, I also relish taking photos and videos, singing, speaking with fellow music fans, and asking musicians the questions nobody else does. Writing about my favourite bands and connecting with people who love music too keeps me more-or-less sane! I’ve worked for over 25 years at a video production company, mainly filming live music events, therefore I have an additional backstage perspective on the scene.
