Green Day Join The World Of Funko POP! Rocks

green day Pop Vinyls

The legendary pop-punk trio are the latest music icons added to the collectables list for the POP! Vinyl giant.

Green Day have joined a long list of music nobility with the announcement of their very own POP! Vinyl figures due out 22nd July. Funko have added Billie Joe, Mike and Tré to their list of collectable Funko POP! Rocks figurines, the brand announced today. Green Day have joined a list list of esteemed punk icons, forever captured in plastic. Punk legends Sid Vicious, Johnny Rotton, The Ramones, Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump and Pete Wentz are just some of the musicians Funko have released over the years.

The release seems to coincide with Funko’s mysterious POP-A-PALOOZ event running from June 30 to July 1 2021. The collectables creator is keeping fans guessing as to what comes next. Follow Funko on Twitter for updates.

The Green Day POP!’s come in a box displaying the bands Dookie album logo but have the band donning their American Idiot signature attire. Billie Joe appears in black shirt and red tie, Mike’s in his singlet and Tré in black shirt and tie. Choosing two of the bands most recognisable signatures for the release is a genius marketing tactic.
