Streetpunk band unleashes their wild songs in the Spanish language!
Asturian streetpunk band Tygers Of Wrath formed in 2022. They released an EP, ‘First Roar’ back in 2024, and have now released their first album ‘Get Ready’ on 10th October 2025 via Smith and Miller Records. The album consists of 10 tracks, some of which are in Spanish, some in English.
Meet Tygers Of Wrath:
Rafael Pérez – Vocals and bass
Miguel Thapiro – Guitar
Fernando Curto – Drums
The band released the first single from the album ‘Strike’ on 29th August 2025 on all digital platforms.
The second single ‘Avilés 82’ was released on all digital platforms on 26th September 2025.
It’s now time for the review! I had to Google translate some of the tracks’ titles, as I don’t speak any Spanish. ‘En Las Sombras’ translates to ‘In The Shadows’, ‘Te Cogerán’ means ‘They Will Catch You’, and ‘Medios De Producción’ is translated to ‘Means Of Production’. All of the tracks on ‘Get Ready’ are proper Oi streetpunk with catchy melodies, aggressive, and passionate.
Even though I didn’t understand the Spanish lyrics in some of the tracks, it was still very enjoyable. It was fun and I could dance along. It’s very different for me to hear punk in Spanish but also cool. If you don’t speak or understand Spanish, you will still like this album. The language of punk is universal!
