You may think you know Rock'n'Roll, but we bet you haven't heard anything quite like this before!
Having spent much of the last 5 years tearing up stages all across Europe, Valencia, Spain-based whirlwind band Deaf Devils have finally managed to slow down for long enough to record their self-titled debut album. Founded in 2020 by four very young and very talented musicians, who were fed up with the superficial sounds all around them, these Devils should not be underestimated..
“Led by a She-Devil” aka their lead singer Lucyfer, this incendiary band – who were “too Punk for Rebellion Festival’ in 2024” – deploy some of the best Rock’n’Roll sounds and attitudes I’ve ever seen and heard. Pipe Dead on guitar, Kuba on bass and Eric Von on drums complete the fiendish quartet.
‘Deaf Devils‘, released through Katabomb Records on 20th November 2025, consists of eleven of Deaf Devils‘ smokin’ hot songs. Describing their sound as “Death punk – Action rock, a mixture of rock, metal, punkrock and rock and roll” resulting in “devastating songs that utilise energy and rawness to give us a whiplash full of grit, strength and attitude.” Can they prove all this on their debut record..?
Of course they can! Screeching to a start with the glam-inspired ‘Parental Control‘, it’s crystal clear that these Devils are just as crazy in the studio as they are on the stage! Pipe wastes no time showing off his dexterous guitar skills, while Lucyfer sings like a modern-day Suzi Quatro. No rest, and we’re straight into the hard-rockin’ dynamite of ‘Tonite‘:
There’s more than a hint of Bolan-esque spice in ‘Dancing with the Devil‘, as Eric goes for it, smashing out the drum rhythms. Kuba pulls off some gigantic bass riffs in ‘Getaway‘, Lucyfer’s voice streaking across the instruments like a MiG fighter jet.
Still tipping the speedometer at over 100mph, ‘Lost Control‘ is a mosh-tastic track which has everyone pogoing when played live! Blowing the doors off the ‘Gates of Hell‘, Kuba rips bass riffs and Pipe wrestles guitar hooks from the anus of Satan himself. The intro to ‘Boom‘ promises something special – and we certainly get it! A favourite of mine both on the album and played live:
Lucyfer’s voice grabs you by the throat in ‘The Offer‘ – “Just give me what I want, I only want your soul” – with an insane middle 8 from guitar and drums. An answer comes from Pipe, who takes lead vocals on ‘The Deal‘, one of the the fastest and most intense songs on the album. “The deal is done” with a gutteral scream. The She-Devil reappears on lead for her outrageous namesake song ‘Lucyfer‘:
Perhaps you haven’t played this album LOUD as instructed, so you may not be ‘Deaf‘ yet.. but the Devils still have some tricks up their sleeves.. “We’re gonna make you deaf!” A phenomenal finish!
Capturing their wild live sound on a record was always going to be a big ask, but Deaf Devils come dangerously close to it on this monumental debut LP. A band who are out to prove that new blood is here and that Punk is not dead! If you haven’t heard of them before today – where the fuck have you been?!

Usually found jumping around down the front at gigs, I also relish taking photos and videos, singing, speaking with fellow music fans, and asking musicians the questions nobody else does. Writing about my favourite bands and connecting with people who love music too keeps me more-or-less sane! I’ve worked for over 25 years at a video production company, mainly filming live music events, therefore I have an additional backstage perspective on the scene.
